J. was born and raised in Gainesville, Florida. After receiving his degree in Finance from Wofford College in 1999, he returned to Gainesville to work with his father, becoming the 5th generation Parrish to work in the family business which was founded by his great-grandfather and great great-grandfather in 1911.
J. Parrish currently serves as CEO of the company, overseeing the daily operations and working closely with his partners to identify new opportunities for growth and expansion.
Service and community are high on J.’s priority list. He is extensively involved in industry-related groups like the Gainesville Alachua County Association of Realtors, the Gainesville Multiple Listing Service and the University of FL Center for Real Estate Studies. J. currently serves as an Advisory Board Member for Gateway Bank. He also lends his time and talent to community groups like Alachua Habitat for Humanity and Oak Hall School.
J.’s wife and children are the center of his universe, but when he’s not enjoying time with his family or focused on his business, he is likely hunting or fishing in the North Florida woods.
